I'm enrolled in an MBBS course and I was wondering what textbooks fellow medicine students might recommend for later year classes? There's a bookstore nearby having a sale on biology-related textbooks, and they're extending it to medical textbooks, so I want to capitalise on it. Next year I'll be doing pathology, pharmacology, forensics and microbiology. My nursing friend gave me his copy of medium Robbins because he'd been given big Robbins by a senior of his, and he also recommended Lippincott for pharma. Third year I'll have ENT, community medicine* and ophthalmology. Fourth year I'll have general medicine, gen surg, ObGyn and paediatrics. What books are you using/would you recommend I get?
*comm med is a joke in my country; it's entirely mug-and-vomit, so I need a book that'll make it at least marginally less painful—but it's mostly demographics and stuff pertaining to India, so I'm not sure if I can take up book recommendations for it
